The hotel and the staff were top notch. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed. They thought of everything; great coffee, amazingly comfortable bed and bedding and a gourmet dog treat for my puppy! I will Definitely return there my next trip to beautiful Cape May.

Lovely and spacious. Stayed in a “dog” room as traveling with pet. You’d never know it. Meticulous. No smells. Loved the “happy hour” welcome of local beer and wine in the lobby area. Huge dog friendly park right across the street was so convenient. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Not all restorations need to be Victorian!

It was lovely to stay at this beautifully restored mid century modern hotel. The decor is simple and very coastal with ship lat walls and planked floors. The amenities are too many to list. The beds and linens - were uber comfortable. The bathroom shower was a luxury and so was the pour over coffee. We brought two mugs home wit us. Parking is not easy so get there close to check in if you can. And plan to leave your car. We walked into town in just a few minutes every day.

We LOVED our stay in Cape May, and the Boarding House was a big part of that. Great location - VERY walkable to everything on the shore. Clean, quiet, and the rooftop deck is a nice addition! The staff was tremendous from pre-booking through the stay itself. I think the only possible critical thing I would have to say is in reference to the parking, which isn't really in their control. It's tight, and each room gets 1 space. If one person doesn't park correctly, it's an issue. However, on street parking is right there, and I wouldn't have any safety / crime concerns at all.

Great dog friendly option. Room was clean and modern. Complimentary coffee was also awesome. Went in October, so not during peak beach season. Enjoyed it for an autumn getaway. I recommend staying here.

Enjoyed the personal touches. Within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Pet friendly. Dog park across the street. Could be sound proofed much better. The parking spots are too narrow for regular-sized vehicles. Almost got parked in several times.

We had an excellent week-long stay. It was easily walkable to the downtown shops, restaurants and the beach. We traveled with our puppy and there were no problems accommodating him. Overall a very nice place and we would come back!
