"We have stayed at the Village Inn and Pub several times. This is a beautiful property with a wonderful staff. The rooms are very nice and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The Pub has a lot of character and a great nightlife. The location is perfect for walking to many restaurants and bars, and visiting the pier and light house. We always have a lovely, memorable time when staying here and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. "

"Oaks on the River couldn't be more different from the chain hotels and mostly in good ways. The physical layout of rooms set in multiple buildings including two 200-year old mansions is the most obvious. Our king size bedroom felt very king-size. We arrived late in the rain and found our room with A MAP. Dining room was filled but the room service option was there. "The hotel was a really good place. The location was close to everything. They accommodated our puppies well. The room was comfortable and we felt safe. Everyone was nice to us especially Celeste at the front desk. She was very professional, curtious, and gave great recommendations. When we come back we will stay there again. "

"The room was very nice with quality furnishings and plenty of room for the five adults in my party. The only slight drawback was the bathroom sink that drained very slowly, but that seems to be a problem with a great many hotel rooms."
