"It was our first trip to Cornwall and we stayed at this hotel for 9 nights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and gave useful tips for our trip, such as taking the train from St Erth to get to St Ives (i.e. don't drive!). We booked this hotel as we wanted to have access to a pool with our young children and the facilities were great, and also included a hot tub. Breakfast was always great and the staff were friendly and attentive, and there are options to cater for coeliacs like myself....

"The room was terrible. It was right next to the kitchen exhaust fans, so noisy until 9pm then 6am. It was a Sunday night and they were hosting a wedding that were noisy throughout the hotel until 12.30am. Staff could not arrange a change despite complaints. On top of that, the sink was blocked. And it was a scrummage at the mediocre buffet breakfast. It was so bad we left a day early (only one night of the two booked). For a place with such potential, truly awful."

"Fabulous location overlooking the harbour, not far from the town centre. The room was well-decorated, clean and spacious with a huge, comfortable bed. Loved the spa-like bathroom, local toiletries and the bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with a waterside view, and the staff were very accommodating. Parking was initially a problem as there were other events at the hotel, but the reception staff soon found spaces in their garage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would...

"Great local character- clearly a well loved neighborhood place with congenial, family favoured pub! Terrific (large and tasty traditional) breakfast included. One drawback was much softer bed than I am used to. There is a shared bathroom that worked fine for me but might dissuade some. The location between Penzance and Marazion provides easy bus and walking access to both places. (Note that the morning bus is longer than usual due to its routing past local schools.) "Sehr schönes Zimmer, was wir zu dritt hatten. Sehr nettes Personal, tolles Lokal mit leckerem Essen, einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: das dritte Bett ist ein etwas unbequemes Schlafsofa. Insgesamt: tolle Unterkunft mit guter Ausgangslage, um Cornwall zu erkunden. Kann ich nur empfehlen!"
