"The room was a nice room but it was not very clean and they did not clean while we were there. The safe door was locked open so I went to the front desk to let them know it did not work and they said "Oh, didn't I tell you when you checked in? You need to take the key and put your things in it and lock it and then bring the key back and ask for the key again when you want it out." So, first, no they did not tell me that, and the reason you use a safe is so others do not have access to your stuff...
