"We liked the Holiday Inn Express Caen/Epron. It was new, very clean and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The only drawback is there isn’t anything within walking distance. It’s kind of in a business area so you can’t walk to a cafe or even a grocery store. We had a car and were comfortable driving everywhere so it wasn’t a problem but it could be if you’re expecting it to be in an area that is walkable. "

"Friendly staff, free parking, very comfortable room, we booked two rooms and we were given interlinking rooms without having to ask which was very thoughtful and appreciated. We had a notification the day before we arrived to say there would be no restaurant in the evening while we we're there. We ate lunch several times during our stay and along with breakfast the food was excellent. Side note: Hotel had been taken over by US veterans and their support for D-Day, the veterans were inspiring...

"Accès 24/24h avec boîte à clé codée. Petite difficulté à trouver les chambres parmis les deux bâtiments, avec étages et accès de chaque côté des bâtiments. Mais on a trouvé ! Personnel d'accueil agréable. Bon petit déjeuner. Lit très confortable avec oreiller mémoire de forme. Je ne connaissais pas, c'est agréable. Possibilité si l'on veut de l'acheter à l'accueil. "Notre chambre familiale était vraiment spacieuse et les lits confortables bien que le bâtiment annexe où elle se trouvait soit banal. Par contre il y avait une légère odeur d'humidité, plutôt dans la salle de bains. L'hôtel est idéalement situé pour le ferry et on trouvé une bonne crêperie à 5-10 minutes à pied."

"Wenn man das Memorial von Cean besuchen möchte, hat das Hotel eine super Lage, man ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß dort. Für die Altstadt ist man ca 40 Minuten zu Fuß unterwegs. Einen Supermarkt mit großer Auswahl kann man in gut 10 Minuten erreichen. Die Zimmer sind ruhig, es gibt eine Bar mit freundlichem Personal und einen Pool. Die Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Hotel sind super, insgesamt war ich hier zufrieden."

"Our second stay in Caen but this was our first stay here, the staff were very friendly and helpful the gentleman who was on bar and restaurant duty in the evening Was great we thought he was English but it turned out he was French and local but spoke English extremely well. Nice evening meal."
