"Staff at breakfast needed to be a lot more helpful and cleaner. Breakfast was cold and dried up bacon like leather. Overall all staff needed sorting ie learn how to wellcome visitors. Bar was not stocked and unable to purchase draughty beer. Would not advise others to stay."
"All in all good but pool temperature quite low and you could do with replacing some of the fixtures in the pool as you can see lots of rust and debris buildup as well as on some tiles in the pool .
Some staff VERY attendant but many NOT
The only “IMPROVEMENT” since take over from Champney’s is only the new bath robe and Elemis products.
For price you pay it’s OK for 1 night BUT it’s in need of improvement desperately "
"Lovely place - so not the corporate chain hotel. Had a really good evening meal. Breakfast was also excellent. Packed lunch was a bonus. Hotel is obviously geared for walkers and there seemed to be plenty of maps / info provided by the hotel. All the staff were super friendly. Can't wait to stay again."
"Lovely breakfast comfortable bed but room easily gets hot when the sun shines in .Needs air con in all rooms .We stayed in the past & it was hot then"
"Really lovely room, set away from the pub. A band playing on Saturday night, and couldn't hear them from my room. Staff lovely, as we're the regulars who I got chatting to when I popped into the pub for a drink. Thanks for a great stay"
"Easily accessible, warm and friendly greeting. Beautiful building and room was clean, comfy and perfectly fit for purpose.
Didn't go down for breakfast so cannot feed back on that but a fabulous comfy stay overnight for an incredible price! Will definitely stay again and look into more hostels around the Country. Thank you"
