Even though the hotel was at full capacity during my visit, I was impressed by how quiet it was; I couldn't hear any noise from other guests. ​Everything was spotless and all the advertised services were fully available. "one downer was the fact the restaurant isn't open for dinner on a Saturday night, we had the weekend planned and dinner at this beautiful place was on the list, our fault for not looking properly? perhaps. we just assumed. luck of the draw with rooms, yes, all superior but some are better than others. needed to really look at the offerings and try to pick. saying that, we loved the room we were in it just wasn't the one in the photo we saw booking online. the dude at check-in and in the cellar...

"The Robertson Hotel is a sanctuary where the raveled sleeve can be knitted up again :) Beautiful surrounds, friendly, attentive staff, lovely breakfast. My only worry is that its gentle, historical charm will be lost in future development. Sydney needs this kind of retreat from its mass tourism culture."
