The fact the rock n bowl motel is very close to the strip of shops at Cabot circus, as well as a few bars only a couple minutes walk away was very convenient. There was plenty to do in the bar to start the night off and it was perfect for our lads weekend. The only issue we had was the cold showers. Only one shower in the block was warm, but besides that it’s exactly what you see on the pictures

Nice hostel, great location, (too) old building.
This is what we expect from a hostel. The location is amazing. The man at the reception was lovely and very helpful with everything.
The bed stuff was very clean but the bedroom floor smelled like pee, the showers and sinks were not that clean either.
Good everything except the unbelievably loud music from 2 floors down. Loud, terrible and horrible music being played from 9pm-12am straight. No good if you want to sleep or be in the room at all in these times. Other than that, it's good. But for the loud music, which makes the room vibrate too, I won't come back.
I had stayed in this hostel such well, there looks using for apanish people. most people stayed there who from spain somewhere. I recommend you, if you like do crazy party every night. I'm not a big fan noisy on the inside. "too noisy"
somepeople smoking at the bethroom.
but i guarantee nice staffs
yeah, there is no locker, if you need get some protect stuff, you should ask the staffs

What you pay for
Main positives about this hostel are the location and price. It's staffed by a single person late at night and check-in took really long because he was dealing with another issue. It was perfectly serviceable for one night's stay while travelling light.
Disgusting. It was like a refuge camp. Waste of money and I couldn’t even get a refund

It's a good position and very good price with also a surprising basic breakfast too. The building is old, not so clean and with the minimum items available, but with such an accessible price it's perfect if you go there for a night. Unfortunately on a Wednesday night it was very loud from outside, with people drinking and shouting after midnight.

I think for the price it was a very good deal. Don't expect 5 star conditions in a motel in the city centre for less than £20
Loud music and really strong vibration until 2-3 am. Not possible to sleep at all.
No toilet paper

Good location for the city. Clean comfortable room. Staff were really friendly. Great value with breakfast included.
The basin area needs somewhere to hang towel, clothing etc; as did the room. Being on a top bunk there was nowhere to put my belongings. Lockers would be useful.
As per other reviews, it was a little noisy Saturday night, as some of the rooms look into the club's courtyard. This was my first stay in a hostel and I was genuinely surprised with how good it was. Very comfortable bed and bedding, the facilities were good and it was very clean all round. I've stayed in worse hotels for a lot more money, will definitely stay here again, but not in a Saturday.

The place is very nice. Nice people... a little noisy saturday night.
Big kitchen/dining area. Staff are nice. Location very close to city centre.
Bathroom (male) facilities not maintained. No fan/air con in rooms and nights were stuffy and hot in the 12 bed dorms even with windows open. Just felt very uncomfortable as a place to stay.
Service was good and simple.breakfast was available from 0700. Unfortunately there was a nightclub downstairs and the whole building vibrate and noisy until.2 or 3 am. Would not recommend if you are staying friday night.
