We were very disappointed with the Regency Clifton Oyo. I didn't want to leave a negative review, but the hotel responded poorly through Expedia's customer service, so here we are.
TL;DR: dirty room when we arrived, then improperly cleaned. Room also in disrepair, but I had to get my young children to bed. My complaint was disregarded.
Full story: my two daughters (aged 4 and 6) and I arrived at 7pm (having completed virtual check in) and found the room hadn't been cleaned. Bedding and towels everywhere, food on the beds. We went downstairs and spoke to the front desk. He said "give me twenty minutes" and then took nearly an hour to clean the room. When he was finished, I had to get my exhausted children to bed as fast as possible. Thankfully the bedding was clean. But the rest of the room was a disgrace.
Stained carpet with wrappers, dried ramen, crumbs and random plastic on the floor. The radiator was broken, so we had an antique, chipped heater. The towels were stained and the shower was hairy. The towel rail was missing, the bathroom door had been badly fixed, the toilet seat didn't fit. The blind was broken. The spare toilet rolls were stained. A mirror wasn't on the wall. The place was a disgrace.
I didn't have any other option. It was gone 8pm. We made a swift exit the following morning.
After our stay I lodged a complaint through Expedia with photos. We were told it wasn't hotel policy to offer refunds or apologies.
Don't stay in this hotel. You're worth more.
