"I did not get to stay at the OVO, I booked the wrong date (my error), but having paid Expedia for insurance that would alow me to make changes to the booking, the venue wanted to charge a handling fee that was 100% of the room cost. seeing that it would have cost me the full room cost on top of whatever the actual day would cost me I decided not to cancel and to book elsewhere."

"What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. "The hotel was on the main street with shops and pubs all in walking distance. We were able to eat and drink at the Red Dragon. The only drawback was no on site parking so the car had to be left about 10 minutes walk away. This was the only issue the rest was great."

"Great location, friendly owner and house keeper, well maintained with a cosy homely feel. The kitchen was well equiped for self catering and the home was kept warm for our autumnal stay. Towels were provided as were gowns and slippers which were a thoughtful addition for the use of the hot tub. A much appreciated basket of goodies greeted us on arrival. Would happily return."

Some of the walls were very damp with bubbling of the paint and mould. There was mould around the bathroom plug and around the edge of the shower.
