"Calm and clean place. Very good outdoor swimming pool. Friendly staff. Sauna was not working. Breakfast was mediocre - not much choice, everything was already cold close to 10 a.m."

Our room was above the in house Georgian restaurant, we didn't try it but it looked very popular. There was live entertainment which went on late, maybe 12am, we could hear it in our room which was directly above but it didn't stop us from going to sleep. The Vitosha area had a nice atmosphere and lovely view...

"I was disappointed with the dining experience. After paying for my room with meal option, the staff provided little to no information about the dining options. If you're considering adding a dining package to your reservation, I would recommend skipping it and simply walking to the restaurant to order your meals directly. Another issue is that the restaurant has two different menus, but the staff did not inform us of this. Unless you specifically ask (information which should have been provided...

"Great staff! Cleanliness was ok. The bathrooms definitely need work. One of the biggest issues was that the thermostat can’t be set to less than 25C and it was warm in the room. Breakfast was good."

"I was taking off from Sofia airport and the Novotel is quite close by. There’s also a big mall with a grocery store virtually next door where you can kill some time. Not the kind of place I’d stay as a tourist, though, as it’s just too far from the center of town. I suppose it’s not meant to be a place for tourists anyway. My room was rather tiny, but it did have a cool bathroom."

"Great location. Very clean if dated room. My only criticism is a large part of the huge window in my room did not have a solid/blackout curtain. It meant the whole room was extremely bright by 6am (summer). Lovely if you wanted to get up early but impossible to lie in otherwise."

Zudem hatten wir noch ein anderes Hotel in Sofia, dass ähnlich viel kostete und deutlich moderner und angenehmer war. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis nicht. Auf die Beschwerde, dass es nach Zigaretten im Raum riecht hat man nur geantwortet, dass bestimmt ein anderer Gast auf dem Balkon unter dem Zimmer raucht... Der Gestank war aber so penetrant in dem Raum und auch in das Bettzeug gezogen, dass es nur...
