The beds were comfortable and rooms relatively clean. The shared space was dingy (smudgy finger prints built up on elevators, dank smell, no cleaner provided in the workout room). The staff was mostly lackadaisical. Felt like they were doing us a favor by being there.
At 3 am the smoke detector battery started chirping. After 4 endless ringing phone calls the front desk picked up. I got an argument about what the issue was …a debate rather than an apology. 20 min later the person came to my room and took the smoke detector off and asked me (at3:30am a day of flying from the west coast) when they could replace it in the morning. I said I’d stop by the front desk. He gave me a hard time that it must be before 11am. … I’m still waiting for an apology. In the morning I went to front desk. Still-not one I’m sorry. A well run hotel has a battery schedule.
There was no disinfectant for the workout room. I spoke w two cleaning people servicing the workout room, the front desk and one cleaner on the same floor over the course of two days. The person in the gym pointed at dry paper towels. Gross.
I will never stay at this shabby overpriced hotel again.
I’ve included a picture of the veneer missing from the elevator in the lobby. Bet it’s been missing for months. It says a lot about care and maintenance-the staff doesn’t even care about making a decent first impression.
