Great hotel

Very friendly, helpful staff. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a fair choice and there was filter coffee as well as a machine. A good stay.

Clean, great location, walkable to everywhere, train or tram station , great breakfast , friendly staff. My son is studying in IUBH, perfect place for me when I am visiting. I was here last year too when it was Maxx hotel. Yard makes you feel like home !

Good hotel, and would be better if the outside check-in kiosk would work. It didn’t, and not just for me but for multiple people. It’s an issue if you want to check in late. Another improvement would be if I could charge my EV in the garage. But staff is very friendly, breakfast is very good, bathroom is clean. TV is not very user friendly, with dozens of channels that are not available but you have to page through.

A greatly changed hotel

This hotel is so changed, and some aspects of our stay were so unpleasant that I prefer, in a possible open review, not to go into much detail. I'll mention two things however. One that we found ourselves locked out on arrival; the other that we encountered quite remarkable rudeness and hostility from 'some' members of staff. Other than that, we really want to put the whole week in this hotel behind us.

Continued excellence - with blackbirds

One indication of a good hotel is that it put things right if a problem occurs, I think. And this is what happened at the beginning of our 10 day stay after a mix-up with our booking. We have stayed a number of times before at this hotel, and for good reason; though it is again under new management. But overall it is still excellent generally. And ... still the blackbirds sing so consistently in the garden throughout the day that it seems they should be on the pay-roll! The large restaurant over-looking that splendid garden area really has the look, and the food and service is very good too. As is the welcoming attitude of the staff.

Das selbständige Einchecken war vollkommen problemlos. Es ist schön zu wissen, dass dadurch erhebliche Kosten für das ansonsten notwendige Rezeptionspersonal eingespart werden kann. Dadurch kann der für diesen Bereich wirklich günstige Zimmerpreis in dieser Qualität angeboten werden. Das Zimmer war hervorragend ausgestattet.und die Betten waren sehr bequem. Besonders gut war, dass zwei Sorten Kopfkissen angeboten wurden. Ein weiches und ein etwas festeres, dickeres Kissen, welches ideal für mich war. Das Frühstück war exzellent und hat bei uns keine Wünsche offengelassen. Insgesamt also ein wirklich sehr empfehlenswertes Haus.
