"We were really impressed by the food and good menu with lots of choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa was great although slightly run down. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely come back"

"Super location. Cabin great. Very disappointed that the advert for the cabin showed it overlooking the lake. The staff informed us that no lake side cabins were available. It was not clear from the advert that the photos were not the actual cabin that we were paying for. "

"As always secure parking, room clean - tidy television set in front of mirror just a bit tired but cosy. Very good choices at breakfast , well situated for trams and buses"

"This is a fabulous hotel if breaking the journey north or south. The only thing I would change is signage to get out car park. The happiest hotel staff I have ever encountered."

"Fantastic clean hotel and the staff were lovely. We did have a police visit to arrest someone smoking weed and another couple arguing for hours but I don’t feel these are a negative on the hotel and its staff as I’m sure these people don’t live in the hotel. Would definitely recommend. Rooms lovely and even though the couple were arguing there was no other noise. Not paper thin walls like other hotels where you can hear toilets flush etc. We will definitely be staying the next time we visit relatives in Darwen x"

"Excellent stay and room was good, stayed on 2nd floor and 5th floor and the difference between the rooms was hugely noticeable, 5th floor looked like it had been refurbished where as the room on the 2nd floor was still outstanding and not as nice "
