I have mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel, as there were both positives and negatives.
Cons:
• The mattress was extremely firm—so much so that I had to double-check whether there was actually a mattress on the bed or just a wooden board. I ended up using both extra comforters as padding to make it somewhat comfortable to sleep.
• I was left standing in the rain one night for quite a while because no one was at the Front Desk. I eventually had to walk around the building and knock on a window to get the staff’s attention, as the attendant was engaged in conversation in the kitchen.
• Although I originally requested airport transfer back to the airport, I mentioned during check-in that a friend would be providing my airport transportation so to cancel the service and they told me no problem. At the end of my stay, I was still told I would be charged for the hotel shuttle service (which was significantly more expensive than a standard Uber.)
Pros:
• The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained.
• The food was very good.
• Sergio, one of the hotel staff members, provided excellent service—he was professional, kind, and went above and beyond to assist.
With a few improvements to guest communication and comfort, this hotel has the potential to offer a much better experience. I’m not sure if I would stay here again though.
