Room was clean and safe. Check in was at midnight and they ensured a safe arrival & check in, great communication via WhatsApp while I was stuck in airport lines. Good hotel for a long connection in Bogota.

This place is a Rat house. Walls so thing that is impossible to sleep. You can ear when somebody fart. Lady was fighting with a boyfriend by a cellphone call and don't let sleep anyone. Next night guy listen music in cellphone till 3 AM nobody can sleep. Not even a Dog will eat the breakfast. Don't recommended at all pay little more an get other option.

This was the worst room I could possibly imagine to have booked. The room only has a window that goes to the indoor hallway, no air conditioning or fan…no fresh air. The bedsheets were filthy, old dirty walls. As soon as I was the room I took a taxi to another hotel and forfeited the money I paid for this stay.

Dorado Gold Bogotá hotel will not follow their own policies. I booked by error, and contacted Hotels.com for refund of 50% as per the property policy as shown in Hotels.com. They contacted the property and denied the refund unilaterally, “as their discretion”, stating a different policy than the one Hotels.com currently advertise in their property website (see picture attached). That is shady to say the least. Expedia was the first company I ever used for reservations back in the 90s/early 2000s. What really hurt me was that Hotels.com did not owned to their words. I assume now that as a customer, I’m not their priority, and they won’t protect me. As a frequent constant traveler, I have choices. I will have to take my business somewhere else.

Overpriced for service offered

Security is an issue with this hotel. My partner and I left to do a local tour. Upon returning, we discovered that the door to our room had been left unlocked the entire day by the cleaning staff. I contacted the reception and explained the situation and how our personal belongings and documents had been at risk the entire time. The receptionist expressed her regrets but offered no compensation whatsoever. The pictures offered online are rather deceiving. The rooms are small with no lamps nor air conditioning. The bed is not comfortable and the pillows are thin. The hotel provides no shampoo for the shower and the soap provided isn’t suffice for two people. Finally, the breakfast portions are extremely small. You will need to refill a couple hours later. I do not recommend this facility. I am in Bogotá frequently and there are hotels at the same price that offer a product of much better quality.
