"This hotel is steeped in history, and this history is clearly displayed throughout the hotel. There is a really interesting book in the communal area downstairs which is worth looking through. Although the hotel could do with a decor update, it was clean and comfortable, with lots of the original features which added to the character of the building. We didnât have much interaction with any of the staff, so canât really comment. The breakfasts we had were really nice and plentiful. There was a bacon, eggs, cereal, yoghurt, toast, cheeses and meats, as well as fruit juice, tea and coffee. The location to the lake was really good, and only a five minute walk, which leads to a lovely beach area to go for a swim. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the town which can be accessed by a lovely walk lakeside, or through a lovely residential area."

"The hotel per se has kept Its unique, original design from the early 20-th century. Hiwever, it has been refurbished and the overall amenities are fine. At a Late afternoon check in, there was no front staff and we used a code that had been tranamitted in advance. The breakfast was great. The surroundings are rather sad."

"We love this hotel so much. We wanted to stay longer. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the spa. The sauna, indoor pool and hot tubs were fabulous. They are beautifully designed in a modern way that stays in harmony with the old world feeling of the hotel. The restaurant is absolutely delicious. We live in New Orleans, LA : a city known for its good food, so when we travel the food bar is set high. My husband is gluten free and dairy free and the staff constantly checked with the kitchen to make sure he could safely eat everything. It was consistently delicious. Tallberg is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. I canât wait to visit again and stay longer."
