"What a perfect place to stay. I was visiting my son in Bristol as he’s in uni and wanted a little place to stay just outside of the city and this was just perfect. Gorgeous surroundings and the room its self was so lovely and clean and had everything you would need for an overnight stay. Loved the breakfast that was left and impressed they offered gluten free options ….i did take the pastries back for my husband to eat as didn’t want them to go to waste lol….i would definitely use this again...

"This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience. I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away. My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating...

"Friendly helpful staff. Really good breakfast. Lovely spot in the Somerset countryside. Expensive taxi ride from Bath but got the bus in the next morning which took a while but only £3!"

"It was ok for a cheap few hours sleep after travelling, was a little annoyed that the shower gel had run out and hadn't been topped up prior to my arrival but I just used the hand-wash that was likely the same anyway! Check in was simple at 2.30am and I was gone by 8am."

"It's a lovely old hotel BUT... There's no lift and for me, age 77, the 50 stairs up to my room, and back down, were not easy to manage. The hotel, as at April 2026, is undergoing some renovation which made things more awkward and left a lot of mess and dirt around. There was no help to get suitcases upstairs. Having said that the staff were all lovely people and breakfast was good. The car park is useful but a bit of distance from the hotel and up a hill to get out of the car park and down again...

"I originally wanted to book from the 14th to the 18th but the system wouldn’t allow me to do that so I ended up booking one night and then after a couple of false starts I managed to book the other 3 nights. The first night I had a room with a shower which was very nice (lovely in fact). However the wi fi was terrible downstairs but works a lot better upstairs as I had to change rooms because of not being able to book all 4 nights at the same time. Really good otherwise."

"Property a little tired but very clean and staff are very nice. Rooms functional we were upgraded to a beautiful view, only complaint the hearing was in a timer and the room was very cold. They gave us an electric heater which took the chill off. "

"So handy for the airport but no noise from the planes. Clean, modern, quiet. Would stay again."
