"I was visiting Forres for a work event and needed a hotel nearby. The Carlton was lovely. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming; check in was a breeze. The room was super clean and had all the amenities you needed. The bed was excellent and very comfy. Would thoroughly recommend this excellent hotel which is great value for money."

"The staff were excellent! The view was SPECTACULAR!!! I had room #5 and the view of the beach was just breathtaking! I loved it! The room is a single, but roomy enough. Nice tv and plenty of storage. Mini-fridge included also and that was unexpected and very handy! Very comfy cozy bedding. The hotel restaurant was great! I had lunch and dinner several times and everything I tried was delicious. There are several close restaurants and some shops for souvenirs and stuff. So pretty, everything!...

"The room was spotless and very comfortable. Obviously the Hotel is in transition. By and by rooms are being prepared to welcome guests. Only 11 rooms are available to book at this point. The price per room is unbelievably low. Especially since the electricity bill must be enormous. The hotel was overheated and lights were on in almost every hall, lounge and room and stayed on during the night. Heating as well as the lights. No consideration was given to the ecological impact. "I have been travelling for 2 weeks and this is, by far, the best accommodations i have had. The room was very clean, well equipped and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower were awesome. The restaurant was good value. Breakfast was the best! Great server and excellent food to start your day. The guy at reception was friendly, clear on explaining the hotel amenities and helpful. Just an excellent experience there all around."
