Hotellets beliggenhet

Enkelt å komme seg til de forskjellige severdighetene med " Hopp on Hoff off" busser. Ligger rett ved handlegaten Kurfürsterdam og Europasenteret hvor det faktisk var en Irsk Pub med god stemning.

As others have mentioned, 10-15 steps to reach lobby, so could be challenging carrying heavier suitcases up/down to lobby. Elevator (Lift) from lobby floor to upper floors is out of service. Decor is dated. Room is small, bathroom is small and poorly lit. Shower enclosure is tight, and I'm a lean individual. No on-site restaurant, but sister property offers lunch/dinner across the street. Neighborhood has plenty of other restaurants as well. Internet (for fee) only available in rooms close to the lobby. Otherwise must use PC in lobby, also for a fee.

Good location, poorly maintained

The hotel is well located, just off Kurfuerstendam which is an upmarket shopping street. It is within walking distance of the Uhlandstrasse railway station from where there are direct buses to and from Tegel airport. There end the positives. There is a steep flight of stairs to get to the reception which are not easy to negotiate with heavy suitcases. Check-in was functional with none of the usual niceties one would expect. The hotel itself is a faded reminder of better days. Cleanliness is a big issue - right from the dust lined carpets in the hallways, to the dust on the walls in the rooms. Parts of the dusty wall above the bed had been 'swept clean' by the pillows of previous users. The shower cabinet and shower head were moldy and the hair dryer plug and socket had been taped to the wall with sticky tape or else they would have fallen off ! The lamp shade of the floor lamp in the room had big stains on it with the dirtiest part turned towards the wall to hide it. Seeing the poor state of cleanliness in the hotel we didn't risk having breakfast there.

Suveren beliggenhet, gammelt hotell m/ flott inng.

Veldig flott med et gammelt hotell som har overlevd krigen. Stilig inngangsparti innvendig med store, flotte malerier og utskjæringer. Betjeningen var veldig hyggelig da vi ble kjent med dem. Det var veldig billig frokost. Hvis vi booket frokost for hele oppholdet fikk vi frokosten for kun 7 euro pr. dag. Da fikk vi kokt egg, eggehakk, pølser og kjøttboller inkludert hver dag. De kunne vært noe flinkere til å etterfylle mat, men sa man i fra ordnet det seg.

Teilweise am Empfang unfreundlich und wenig hilfsbereit. Hier sollte was geaendert werden. Fruehstueck war ok, auch der Preis stimmt. BETTEN teilweise schlecht gerichtet. Gardinen duerften einmal gereinigt werden.

Location location location

Yes it maybe a little tired and yes it could do with a bit of a facelift but honestly...a fab hotel in a fab location! Perfect for a city break, to be fair we only literally slept there we were out enjoying Berlin. I slept fine, staff were friendly and the room was massive! I honestly couldn't fault it but maybe I'm easily pleased. It's clean and comfy and in an ideal location!! I would stay again.

When I booked this hotel it was rated 3 stars, but 3 out of 100??? Dirty, mold and unpolited staff. I have aprox 75nights/year last five years and never stayed at such as bad hotel ever...

Hotel close to the centre

I would definitely use the hotel again as the position was very good for the price paid. However the the decor is starting to look rather tired and though the room was clean some of the housekeeping was variable. Breakfast was plentiful and as we were exploring Berlin the main criteria were cleanliness and position.

Great neighborhood, close to metro station

My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights, and we had an excellent experience. We hardly interacted with the staff, but when we did it was pleasant. Our room was clean and felt homey, with high ceilings and a big closet. The shower was a bit small. The location is good, with only a couple minute walk to the u-bahn station and also to one of the biggest shopping streets in Berlin.

施設が古いが、それもまたよき古さと考えれば全く問題ない。部屋は薄暗い感じがした。まわりにコンビニなどはないため、水はあらかじめ買っておくとよいでしょう。しかし、レストランなどは周辺に多く、晩御飯は困らないと思います。

Good value for money

Convenienly located, 5 mins walk to metro station, on-street parking for 11euro per day, lots of restaurants around. Hotel is OK, the room was comfortable and clean. The only drawback was some weird kitchen smells coming to our room through the windows (in the evening). Overall, very good value for the money.

Schon bei der Ankunft erkannten wir, dass wir dass wir die richtige Wahl getroffen haben. Die Einrichtung des Hotels ist wunderschön. Und die Lage ist natürlich 1a - der Service des Hotels war toll, alle sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Die Zimmer waren auch sehr schön.

Reasonably Priced City Centre Berlin Hotel

This hotel belongs to a small chain of which I have stayed at several already. It is located in a smart, but quiet street off Kudamm, and is above an excellent local bar/restaurant, Meineke X. The hotel itself is a 19th Century old Berlin building with an impressive entrance hall, and the rooms, although clean and basically comfortable, will be better once they are refurbished. The bathroom was in desperate need of an upgrade. The staff on arrival came across as especially rude and unwelcoming but in the first morning I was ably assisted to receive a room with a desk so that I could work there. The hotel could do with providing free wi-fi in line with many of its other hotels. All in all this was reasonably priced for the standard of accommodation, but 5 minutes around the corner is another of the hotels in this chain, the Domus, an altogether more attractive and comfortable overnight stay.

altes verwohntes Hotel, gute Zentrumsnähe

Da das Hotel von der Sauberkeit und dem Zimmerzustand nicht einlud, waren wir von früh bis spät immer unterwegs. Wir hatten super Wetter, sodass wir vieles besichtigen konnten, auch per Schiffstour ( sehr zu empfehlen ). Sehr humane Preise für gutes Essen und Getränke. Besuch des Musicals " Hinterm Horizont " ist ein Erlebnis. Berlin ist immer eine Reise wert.

Hotel mit Patina und Flair im Zentrum

Habe günstig (40-45 EUR/Nacht) und zentral übernachtet, mein Zimmer hatte große Fenster zum Innenhof, wirklich ruhig. Die Einrichtung ist in keinem sehr guten Zustand, aber das Wichtige (Sauberkeit, Personal) stimmt.

Posizione centrale, hotel antico ma moderno !

La posizione dell'hotel era perfetta: vicino alle attrazioni, raggiungibili sia in metro che in bus, inoltre il bus che porta all'aeroporto Tegel è attaccato all'hotel. Le camere sono pulite, arredamento retrò ma l'importante è la pulizia e che asciugamani e lenzuola siano pulite. La colazione è varia ed abbondante.
