Disappointing Stay – Good Location, Poor Room Condition I stayed at Apartmenthaus Berlin Neukölln while visiting Berlin for a gig nearby. The location was convenient, with good transport links, and the check-in process was very easy. Unfortunately, these were the main positives of my stay. The room itself was in poor condition and fell short of my expectations. There was no kettle, and although they offered a coffee machine as an alternative, the drinks were not heated properly. There was also a visible hole in the wall with electrical wires exposed, which was concerning and made me question the overall maintenance of the room. Another major issue was a foul smell coming from the bathroom in the morning. I’m not sure whether this was due to a drainage or plumbing problem, but the smell was unpleasant enough that I had to use air freshener and leave the bedroom window open to ventilate the room. The bed was also uncomfortable. The pillows were excessively large, making it difficult to sleep comfortably, and I kept sliding out of the bed. I’m not sure whether there was an issue with the mattress, but the overall sleeping experience was poor. In terms of customer service, there are no staff members on site, and communication is handled through an AI customer service representative. While this may be convenient for basic queries, it felt impersonal and dehumanising, particularly when dealing with problems. I would have much preferred the option to speak to a real person.

The location of the property was brilliant, being right next to the S-Bahn station made travel very simple but was rather loud when trying to get to sleep at night.

A bit loud (metro track closer than it looked) and messy location, parking is a nightmare. Apartment was clean and had all the necessities. Smaller pillows and extra towel or a floor squeegee would have been great. Good value for the cost.

I stayed with my whole family. My 5 year old and 1 year old didn’t have trouble sleeping considering it’s next to the train station. The noise is not that bad. I love that it’s near a grocery and some food. We took the train to get around and it was very convenient. We walked even at night we weren’t bothered.

Great location in the ”real” dirty, hip Berlin. Great value for what you pay for bit it is quite warm & boost. But what do you expect in Berlin? Make sure to get properly drunk in the nearby kiosk before going to bed.

I thought tha apartment was very well connected to the U-bahn and the S-bahn lines. Despite being close to the S-bahn line and on a street, it turned out to be very quiet at night thanks to the good windows. In the area you can find lots of restaurants, fast food, supermarkets and although it can look a bit dangerous in the evening, I had no problems whatsoever

When I arrived, I discovered that I couldn't flush the toilet. The flush button and its components were just laying on the washbasin, leaving a hole where the button should have been. The reception staff could not offer me another room. Later that night, I woke up and saw bedbugs in my bed. Although the reception was easily reachable by phone and WhatsApp, they were unable to offer an alternative at that time. I checked out the next morning and received a refund, which was handled quickly.
