"The host was there to great us with a smile. She explained everything and offered us to order breakfast but we had to leave early to catch the ferry. The room was very nice. She was kind enough to order our taxi for the morning as dover doesn't have uber. I wish we had had more time to enjoy the stunning views from the patio. I would definitely stay here again. "

"It was very cute. Nothing fancy but very clean and John was a wonderful host. "

"Very comfortable room and great breakfast. Host was very accommodating. Don’t bring heavy suitcases if you are on 2nd or 3rd floor!"

"Very walkable to area locations. Historically old but cleanest place I think I have ever stayed. Remember that many places don't have AC and this is one but fans in rooms with full length window open to balcony in our room. Narrow stairway to rooms if that means anything to anyone. Was fine for us. Breakfast was buffet style, tasty and we still had personal attention with refills, etc. Host made sure we had transportation to the cruise port."

"This was the most attentive and beautiful guest house I have ever stayed in. The owner is so kind and accommodating, and the room and common areas are impeccable and unique. The Victoria King room truly has its own private sunroom and terrace. I almost didn't want to leave the guest house to see the sights because the room is so comfortable and beautiful. The kitchen amenities are great and there are grocery stores within 3 minutes by foot. I met wonderful and kind guests and even made friends....

"We checked in quite late, but check in was very quick. Staff were lovely - especially the lady on breakfast duty. Bed was comfortable. Only slight negative is that the bathroom was very small - you could only have one person in there at a time."

"Lovely little pub and rooms, food is very good although it's at a price point where you'd expect that. Lots of German and Dutch tourists stopping and a few locals. Not much of a pub vibe as it's all given over to dining but the room were spacious and comfortable."

"The hotel was a splendid surprise being a true manor in the style of a stately home with extensive grounds. We stayed in the Mews cottages which provided a large well equipped room and bathroom. "

"Another nice stay, although only one night. Staff really friendly and helpful, especially the young man who checked us in and lady who took our order at breakfast. Room clean and comfortable with lovely view of pier and beach. Hospitality tray with tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. Breakfast really nice, plenty of choice. It was a really hot night and air conditioning wasn’t working, however a small tower fan had been put in room, but didn’t really cool it down! Other than that good...
