"A true gem in Estes Park. The staff is so friendly and the lodge is quaint and historic. They have massive plans for renovations. Those will only add to the historic charm! Centrally located"
The Stanley Hotel

"We well respect that The Stanley is an historic landmark in a stunning location; spectacular views. It has beautiful gardens, a maze and guided tours. It clearly falls into the category of historic hotels. The hotel participates in the several Estes Park shuttles to downtown and trailheads. Very convenient) My issues are the extensive construction taking place that was noisy, dirty and which compromised beautiful views. (Not on the weekend) We changed our room since we did not want to look out at a construction site. (The staff was very accommodating.) The new room had a very comfortable bed and lots of hot water. Furniture was vintage (as expected)and lighting was rather dim. Parking for hotel guests was very difficult due to the many visitors taking tours of the hotel. The elevator did not work in the Lodge (where we stayed). The housekeeping staff comes every three days yet did not empty the trash nor replenish the coffee Nespressos. The food at The Cascades was disappointing. I am mentioning these issues to inform future guests so that they can come prepared."

"Rooms were clean and worked for what we needed during our stay in Estes. They were dated but that wasnโt a deal breaker. Doors are sliding glass doors which was not expected but again not a deal breaker. We had two rooms and one of the rooms the door was very difficult to slide open but closing was normal & not a challenge. Breakfast was ok, but to be honest we only tried eating it one day. Location was good and was along the river walk as well as free shuttle service within town. Once we parked in the lot after returning from RMNP we were able to walk everywhere though within Estes Park which we really liked."

"I was very impressed with the facility and staff. Check-in was a breeze and Taylor was extremely polite and helpful. Our room was great. We had a two bedroom suite and a pullout sofa bed. My wife and I had a bedroom and my daughter and her two children were in the main room which had the pullout. The outdoor pool was nice since it was pretty warm most days, and the indoor pool and hot tub was great when the temperature dropped. Nightly snores were awesome for the kiddos. Breakfast was always nice and convenient before heading out to RMNP. The location was convenient to downtown as well. We will definitely book this hotel again."
