Found that hidden gem in Belfield, ND! Convenient to so many things to see in the area, but beyond all expectations. Felt like we had stepped back in time to those family road side motels. But not only did it bring back all the feels - everything we needed or wanted was right there. The food was great, the onsite bar was a great vibe, and adult games gave back enough to cover our night! The team - every single person we encountered went above and beyond. If something wasn’t great - they went the extra step to make sure nothing was ever just ok. We cannot recommend enough - and this comes from a retired hotel operator and developer! And of course - super clean room and all the amenities including a mini coffee maker with carafe that holds 4 cups brewed!

This is not a luxury hotel. It's a traveler's motel right outside a national park. But the room was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable. Everything was very quiet. And the restaurant on the property serves good basic food (Pizza, burgers, breakfasts, etc.) at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Luxurious? No. But I've been in "luxury" hotels that were not as clean as this one.

Very conveniently located motel that had easy access to the presidential Library and Theodore Roosevelt National Park South and North Entrances. Food choices very close but no grocery store nearby. Dickinson had the closest grocery store. The room was well maintained, but the blinds in the room need to be replaced, because they couldn’t be closed completely. Staff was very friendly, I would recommend this for anyone visiting the park and library.

This motel was clean. The shower was a walk in so that was nice. The restaurant is hooked up to the registration building and have breakfast and lunch. A lounge is hooked up to the motel rooms so very handy. The only thing that I didn’t like was the bathroom mirrors are so low you can barely see the top of your head so the lights are also low and glare.

I was looking for a place to stay in the Medora ND area and Expedia suggested the Trappers Inn. In retrospect, I should have booked a property in Medora proper (Trappers Inn is 15 miles away in Belfield). That's not their fault, but this property is just a motel. As one would expect, it's pretty stripped down and old. Decent enough for a bed and one-night stay but would not book again for my purposes.
