"Lovely friendly staff, always remembering that I stayed before. We get the room we have requested. We order a vegetarian roast which is outstanding, food delicious and hot. Plenty of parking. Depending where the room is you can hear the traffic going past in the evening & mornings but overall alovely stay. "When we arrived i bokjed us in and paid before check in and got key everthing fine got shown our room ,then went out with husband and our kids at night getting a fone call from manager saying i had to get out room as i hadnt booked the potion room which i had and i would have to get out that room in the morning , long story short had to go back n proof i had booked the potion room so didnt have to leave n that the wizardry had been double booked, manager didnt have a clue what was going on he...

"Regular visitor who always enjoys his stay at Watford Bridge. Very convenient for my boat. Breakfasts were even better than usual."

"We have stayed at the Cliff Hotel before a few years ago so knew what to expect. The food was excellent, staff where very helpful and friendly. Our room was a bit on the small size for a standard double but we did ask for a walk in shower which was provided which might be why we had that room but the bed was massive and very comfortable, had enough room to walk about without knocking into anything but the bathroom needed to be a bit bigger nowhere to put your toiletries. Our room was on the first floor so only had a short flight of stairs to go up but wouldn't have liked to be any higher trying to carry suitcases so think it would help if there was a lift especially for people like ourselves who are in our 70s. Also the carpet on the stairs needs replacing it was a bit threadbare but over all we enjoyed our stay and would go again."

"One approaches the hotel with a drive through beautiful woodland and then arrive at a breathtakung Elizabethan revival manor house, the archtecture is truly impressive and the interior does not disappoint either. Our room was immaculate and the facilities are top drawer, Swimming pool, sauna,steam room, gym and a very smart spa. If golf is your thing there is a lovely golf course and driving range. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful which helps to create a very pleasant and relaxing vibe, all of which makes Dunston the perfect place for a relaxing break, we will definetly be coming back. Well recommended."
