"Ash Grove was the perfect place for our stay. It is out of the way and rather private. It is not in the middle of Paihia but close enough that we could easily drive in to town to eat and go on our tour of the Bay. Even better, it was just down the road from Haruru Falls, which was spectacular. We loved going on a walk along the river. We felt very much at home in our little cottage. "I got very sick the evening before I checked out. The front desk gave me an extra hour in the room and I was able to rest in the pool area for 4 hours before I was due to leave for the airport. We actually couldn't make it for the first night because of a change in plans so we tried to contact the hotel but couldn't get through.
