We felt welcomed the moment we arrived, enjoyed the sunrise from the huge windows overlooking the water, and the delicious continental breakfast. The location overlooks a lovely beach and walking path and we enjoyed the serenity and delicious dining in South Portland as well as the convenience to Old Port. "Strong chemical smell upon entering, which we could smell all night. Hair in the bathroom, hair and dirt in the fridge, sagging mattress. Asked to go to a higher floor and if one was available and was told “no” by the man at the desk. Left and came back around 9:30 to find the rather large parking lot very empty and only a few cars in the front. I realized this is because the top two floors are not being used. This is either due to not enough staff or making repairs. When I left the next...
