Had a fabulous weekend here with family
We ate in the restaurant the food was amazing as was the service. Everywhere was spotless and the beds are so comfortable.
The only downside was there was no main light in the room just lamps which made getting ready in the evening a bit of a pain

The rooms are alright. The bathroom was alright. The shower was very small.
IF you book through hotels.com then you have to pay £20 per day to use the facilities i.e. Gym. Not good.
The food in the bar was Okay.
The staff at the hotel were very good and friendly.
I’ve stayed here many times. Rooms are clean, tidy and well looked after. The TV is very small though, so if you want to watch something, it could be a bit of a challenge.
The hotel is in a safe countryside area. I like that there’s nothing else around, but others might prefer more nearby.
Hot fresh breakfast is good, but the coffee isn’t great. I’d like to see more fruit and yoghurt options as I don’t eat a full breakfast.
I’ll happily stay again.

Business trip
Stayed here on business and would stay again, room pretty standard but comfortable and very good food in the restaurant.
Staff were excellent, on the boil all day.venue was absolutely amazing and the room we stayed in was excellent. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks again to everyone who made our stay very welcoming.
Ive stayied here many times, good for the price, areas of my room were slighlty tired especially the bed side tables. The tv in the room is incredibly small. Shower and bathroom, superb. Room 8 is near the exit which would be fine if the main doors had a soft close. Breakfast good. Overal id stay again, no major problems.
Enjoyed it here and would stay again, service and food were good, only criticism is if you don’t book directly with the hotel you have to pay for use of the gym and the spa which isn’t cheap, plus breakfast wasn’t included.

Annoying
Description on Hotels.com doesn’t say that you have to pay extra to use the gym facilities… which is an extra £20..
If I knew this then wouldn’t have booked this accommodation.
Room was basic but clean..

Staff helpful, rooms dated and need modernisation.
Hotel is tired and needs updating but staff are friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy but the rooms are dated.
The hotel was very very nice with helpful staff and very clean accomodation. Every aspect of our visit was catered for and the wedding and reception was excellent with nothing forgotten and presented in style.
The only and only aspect which was not quite right for me was that the hotel was a little cold bearing in mind the wether outside.
- Hotel is extremely dated. Breakfast was average at best, coffee not great. Radiator in bathroom never turns off, makes the room extremely hot. Lighting in the rooms leaves a lot to be desired (cold white?!), walls are very thin so you can easily be disturbed from the slightest sounds, bathroom big but shower tiny. You get what you pay for ultimately but I will only come here as a last resort if everything else in the area is fully booked. The whole place needs a major revamp to drag it into the 21st century.
+ The grounds and staff are nice

Good quality room. Very clean but room on ground floor has no privacy as over looks car park with only curtains no blinds, so on summer evening had to close curtains for privacy.
Nice hotel and facilities,, really good leisure facilities but the food was mediocre for dining. warm not hot, dried mushrooms for the steak and cold chips and onion rings. When I mentioned the staff just apologized and took my plate.

Good for a bed for the night
The hotel is good, but not a luxury hotel though, I would compare it to a Premier Inn. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was great, rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. There is tea and coffee in the room, but the chair and desk were very uncomfortable to work at. The main bar/restaurant has very little atmosphere and the food is average. Watch out for the extra charges, breakfast and spa access is not included when you book through Hotel.com.

Clean but bed uncomfortable
Nice, clean hotel in quiet surroundings however staff came across rather stern and not particularly friendly. Beds were hard and uncomfortable and the walls were thin as we could hear next door coughing all night. Shower was very loud and again we could next doors shower when they turned it on at 5am. Overall it was ok.
Booked the hotel as it stated a gym on Expedia. Was told by reception that gym use was an additional £20. Checked Expedia details again and in small print, it stated that "pool" use was £20. I only used the gym. Just seems a steep price when youve already paid for a room.
The room itself was adequate, very little toileries. (2 x tiny shower gels) and the shower overflowed on the 2 occasions that i used it. Staff were friendly and helpful at breakfast when they wrapped my breakfast to go.
The receptionist was very courteous and welcoming. The room was clean but lacked power points above the dressing table / desk. I had to plug the kettle in underneath the a/m.
