"My wife and I stayed one night at Expedition Lodge for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The building has an older charm but is well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was excellent — one of my top priorities when traveling. The mattress was firm yet soft, with no sagging or worn spots. Breakfast was different from what I’m used to but pleasantly surprising. I usually expect bacon, eggs, and biscuits and gravy, but this lodge offered creative local options like “Build Your Own Estes Park Deviled Eggs” and “Elk Jerky Green Chili.” I wasn’t brave enough to try the deviled eggs (which I now regret), but the chili was fantastic! I’ve never had chili for breakfast, but I loved it, especially topped with a little shredded cheese. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived from Denver much earlier than planned after an early flight and reached the lodge around 11 a.m. I didn’t expect our room to be ready, but to my surprise, it was available, and they kindly allowed an early check-in — a lifesaver after being up since 1 a.m.! Thank you, Expedition Lodge, for helping make our anniversary getaway so memorable!"

"We did not receive any breakfast, coffee in room was great. The dinner recommended by hotel check-in staff at the steak house was a huge disappointment and a rip off. Poor service, long wait and the steak was raw even after we sent it back to cook longer. Most expensive and worse piece of meat we have ever had!!"
