Hotels near Tai On Building

"I booked a "Study" room which was more expensive than the other rooms. It was advertised with a number of LARGE windows. However someone wrote me and asked if I would be OK to accept a single bed or a standard bed. This was crazy. I expected a bed not for the college kids despite the name of the room. I mentioned it to the check in clerk and he gave me the "STUDY" room which had a king size bed and with many windows, as advertised. What happened and why about the message before I checked in?"

"Paid self service laundry is available. Washing and drying are each cost HK$30. Prime location is close to metro station which is linked to a complex with different retail shops, cafe, fast food restaurants etc."

"Breakfast is not that good, eg: there are no vinegar and olive oil for salad. No fried eggs. Dim sum were only buns. And runs out quickly too. "

"Great location. Less than 5 minutes walk from Tin Hau MTR station so it’s really convenient for the main sights. Less than 20 minute walk to Causeway Bay. We had the executive room which includes a microwave and tap and sink, but note that NO plates or cutlery are provided, only 2 small teacups, 2 tall glasses and 2 teaspoons (whereas the hotel photos seem to imply they provide basic kitchenette facilities). The room only has a single chair which isn’t ideal for a couple. Despite being slightly larger than the average standard HK hotel room, there isn’t that much space at the end of the bed once both suitcases are opened on the floor. There is nowhere to put suitcases other than on the floor. Location was great but I’m not sure I would stay in this particular hotel again unless the price was reasonable, which it was when I originally booked this."

"This is a nice property and my room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have about the room is that there were no outlets next to or near the bed, so you had to charge your devices across the room. The hotel is located about a block away from the nearest metro station. Location-wise, I probably would stay somewhere closer to the main areas on Hong Kong island. Every point of interest was several metro stops away and it took time to get to where I wanted to go. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but if location is important you might want to consider another property. "

"Well, the room was nice. The view was fantastic. But that there is not enough money to provide even a bottle of water is not understandable and not acceptable. And they tell you that they don’t have toothbrush and whatever you need in the bathroom or you need to buy it that’s still OK. But they really should point out during check-in. There is no drink in the room. You can buy it here now. I think this category not even a bottle of water not acceptable can absolutely not recommend. It’s a little thing which makes you happy all the big things are very fine."
