"Really lovely building and grounds."

"Decent on paper, disappointing in reality. The room looked fine in the photos but fell short in person. We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back...

"Although we almost turned around upon walking down the block towards the guest house, I am glad we stayed there. Paul, the custodian, was charming and helpful, the facilities were adequate, and access to food make a simple breakfast was nice, but every room should have a fan. We appreciated the price, but will not stay there again."

"When I eventually managed to check in I found that my room smelt funny. The windows were open so I guessed that the smell may have come from the outside. There was no staff at the guest house for me to speak to. There was no staff at the venue. It was too late to go anywhere else so I ended up...

"Cosy room. Lovely garden to sit outside and admire the countryside."

"Don't be put off by the exterior, the room was great!! Very clean, comfortable bed and had everything needed for a nights stay. The gentleman that treated us was really helpful in helping us find parking. I would definitely book again."
