"Clean, full variety breakfast, nice seaview"

"First ferry transfer was 2 hours after they said they would be there. Second ferry transfer was 1 hour after they said they would leave. Can't trust them to make reliable plans. Pools were so dirty you could use them. Pubes in the bathroom on arrival. Food was not good and expensive. Staff were friendly. Mini jet skis, $500 pesos for half an hour were fun. Kayaks at $300 pesos an hour were not worth it. Clean air though."

"Incredible stay at BacuaBay, we stayed in the presidential suite with a family of 5 (2 adults 3 teenagers) and it was immaculate, very roomy, to spread out and very comfortable. Clean great bathrooms and pool is awesome and huge! The gardens are beautiful with jetty and a bar on the jetty, we loved our stay here. Staff could not be more helpful and friendl."

"The hotel is a little outside of the main street of Coron but has a pool which is nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful - a really asset to the hotel. However the room I was put in was a little tired, with signs of a water leak in the corner and despite asking for my room to be cleaned on two different days it wasn’t. Also they make you sign a waiver that they won’t be responsible for your belongings but don’t provide any kind of safe in the room (only at reception) which is unideal."

"We had a wonderful stay overall. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always willing to assist, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and our kids absolutely loved spending time in the pool. Breakfast offered a good variety each day, which we appreciated. The food overall was decent, although it wasn’t particularly memorable. The only downside during our stay was the bathroom. The shower glass door was incomplete, causing...

"Suitable for family & friends"

"We love the location as it immerses you in the local life. Everything is walking distance but if it’s too hot, tricycles are easy to come by. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!"

"Discovery Island Resort was incredible. The property was so chilled and tranquil. The room, pool, restaurant and the grounds were lovely and spotlessly maintained. But most of all the management and staff were wonderful. Toni and her team were always courteous and efficient...and made us feel welcome the whole time. Can't wait to stay there again. "Staff was superb. As soon as we arrived the staff greeted us with smiles. Friendly and accommodating. The room was excellent and there was hot water for the shower!!!!! Definitely a plus!! Breakfast can use a lot more options but it was sufficient enough to start the day. Definitely recommended."

"We didn’t like that there were a bunch of ants inside the room and all kinds of bugs in hallways. The breakfast choices were fair. Staffs were wonderful - always ready to help their guests for anything."

"It was okay"

"Quite an old property, there were towels down in the public areas as it leaked when it rained. Felt like the floors had never been cleaned (very very dusty), and there were also "soft spots" in the floor that felt like we might fall through at any moment. Staff were very helpful, and the building location right by where the island tours depart was convenient, but didn't make up for the rundown nature of the building overall. The provided wifi didn't reach our room either. "
