"The hotel is a very old coaching inn, full of character, and very well maintained. It is well situated for both Sidmouth and the Donkey Sanctuary. The room had a lovely bed, in a fair sized room. The en-suite was very nicely appointed. Our room was facing the road so there was some traffic noise. The food was excellent and the staff were all really attentive and provided a great service. Overall we had a lovely stay at the Blue Ball Inn, Sidmouth. "

"Lovely 2 night stay and just as we remembered from previous visits which were a few years ago. Comfortable room and bed with side sea view. Hotel lounge/bar area comfortable and staff were very helpful and pleasant. Restaurant food was excellent with good continental breakfast with healthy options, fresh fruit as well as cooked menu if desired. Evening meal was also excellent. "This hotel is absolutely amazing. Really attentive friendly and welcoming staff who can’t do enough for you. It’s a really nice touch for the general manager to take an interest in you and also personally ensure you are enjoying your stay. The food is exceptional and everyone is so polite. Nothing is too much trouble at this hotel. We will definitely be back."

"Very warm welcome from all the friendly staff. My room was external to the pub but it was lovely and warm (despite freezing temperatures outside) it was nice and spacious and had lovely facilities, nice bathroom and very clean. The walk from village to beach and the surrounding little narrow lanes are great if a tad challenging and I would recomend a stay here. "

"From the start, we were greeted with a smile….we were given our room keys….the rooms were lovely and clean and comfortable. We pre booked a table for an evening meal, the meal was utterly delicious. The lady’s that dealt with us (Sarah and Eleaner) were so friendly…sorry I can’t remember the other two ladies, but they were so friendly also 👍👍.
