5. THE 8 Boutique B&B

Eixample

"The location is golden! It is only like 3 min walk to the Casa Batlló and Passeig de Gràcia. And the subway station is right down stairs across the street. Lots of stores and restaurants are around the area. The hotel is clean and modern with good design. The room is kind of small but good enough for me. There is a common shared area with coffee, refirdgerator and microwave. The owner lady was very nice and helpful. I would stay there again if I ever go back to Barcelona."

"The location was great, the room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I thought I lost my keys, but eventually found them. It was a good value for the lower end of the cost range. By American measures, it is on the fourth floor, and the elevator wasn't working (I don't know for how long). And they prohibited flushing toilet paper; I guess due to the plumbing. I have seen that before, but not in Spain, so I don't know how common that is."

14. B&B Wine and Cooking Penedès

"My wife and I were in Penedès for three nights to attend a wedding nearby, and our stay at B&B Wine and Cooking was nothing short of spectacular. Marta and Magnus are two of the most generous, gracious, accommodating hosts who made sure that all our needs were met and that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Each morning, they prepared a delicious breakfast spread with eggs, breads, meats, fresh fruits, yogurt, pastries, juice, coffee, and more, and they were both so friendly and...

"I could not recommend this hotel any more. Since returning home over 6 months ago I have raved to dozens of people about how amazing and incredible this hotel is and I have recommended every single one of them if they travel to Barcelona, they should stay here. I was here in mid July so the weather was bright and sunny and 30 degrees every day so the air conditioning within the hotel was much needed; I would honestly say that it is some of the best air con I’ve ever had in Europe. The rooms...
