"I would not stay here again. The rooms are old and tired. Avoid at all costs the first floor rooms in the building across the courtyard. They are incredibly hot and stuffy--even when it was cool outside. They know it because there are 2 fans in the room, which didn't help at all. The management at the hotel was also very unhelpful. We used a third-party vendor to book the room for 4 nights and prepaid it. Because of our schedule we wanted to shorten our stay by one night. Management told us they...

"I absolutely loved my stay here. I would recommend it and would stay again. The staff were wonderful. The food was delicious. There was plenty of parking. My room was simple but I had everything I need. I found it very convenient that there was a restaurant and bar on site. The town itself is lovely. The locals use the bar and also the cafe and shop just a short walk away. The only areas for improvement was the carpet in my room needed a deep clean or replacement, and there were some...

13. The White Hart Royal Hotel, Moreton-in-Marsh

Moreton-in-Marsh

"I have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels and I wouldn’t recommend this establishment. The food was excellent and I would recommend booking into the restaurant for dinner. The rooms were in my opinion a very poor standard. Cramped, jaded, dated decor and housekeeping was below par. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, as were the pillows. There was no attention to detail. The rest of the hotel followed a similar pattern. Whilst I appreciate that this is an historical building, I think...

Moreton-in-Marsh

"The impression from the lobby/reception was worrying -- tatty carpet, dark, old-looking, and mismatched decor. But the rooms were comfortable and generally clean, though there was a bit of mould in the corner of the shower. The breakfast buffet was good, salmon-avo toast was very nice. The coffee was silly weak though, had to ask for a new pot. We had a pleasant stay but will probably try somewhere else next time."
