"The people is extremely warm and welcoming, including reception and the lady serving us from check in to dining. The young lady can speak english, we have a great time there. We use the public onsen before dinner so there are not much people. The private onsen in the room also great, but will be a bit small if two people bath together. Will definitely recommend this place to people who want to experience Japanese traditional onsen culture and dining. "

"This was my first time to stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) and I really like it! The hotel was a bit old but still in good condition. They have indoor & outdoor hotspring pool plus many other facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. Buffet breakfast & dinner both were great too. Free shuttle service available too to pick up from/drop off to Kagaonsen station. Thumb up!"

"The room is spacious and offers a beautiful view of the lake. The customer service is attentive and thoughtful. As for the meals, there is an impressive variety of dishes, most of which are delicious—especially the botan shrimp, yellowtail, and the steamed egg custard with nodoguro. In addition, the breakfast exceeded my expectations and was the best I’ve had across my past ten ryokan stays. You can tell the differences through their careful selections of food ingredients. Excellent "
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Room was fantastic and the private onsen terrific.
Set dinner experience was great too and they were able to cater for my wife’s gluten allergy, which some other ryokans we checked would not.
Staff were great too!"
"The staff were fantastic!! They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Traditional Japanese breakfast was very good and the outdoor onsen was a nice experience "
"Great place to stay near the train station. The staff were nice and there are a lot of free amenities offered. It was quiet, we could not hear any street traffic. Would recommend this hotel. Only recommendation is the clothes dryers didn’t really dry. Dried for 1.5 hours and they were still wet. Maybe this is just Japanese dryers?"
