"Set in a lovely building and village with beautiful views. Really recommend. Rooms a little bit tired but did not ruin our stay as it was a great base. Mexican restaurant, bar and outside space was lovely. There is a local shop and some pubs within walking distance in the village too. Close to Yeovil etc. Would definitely stay again. Thank you"

Jan and his colleagues were all helpful, friendly and enthusiastic throughout. Room was absolutely spotless, well appointed and comfortable. Food was exceptional, can’t speak highly enough about the evening meal we had it was absolutely delicious and breakfast in the morning was tasty too, super fresh pastries! "What a lovely little trip to Wookey Hole. Really comfortable and convenient hotel for a day out to the caves. Staying at the hotel allowed for an easy day out with the children. Nice sized room with comfortable beds for 2 adults and 2 children."

"The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm."

"Good location for strolling around Langport with its cafes,independent shops , gardens and river walks . The library is very close with an outdoors area . We had a room in the courtyard , good in the heatwave . Sometimes had to park further away in town car park ..still free ,though in autumn 2026 may have to pay . Staff helpful ."

"The location was absolutely brilliant as it's so central although be aware that this is a lively pub so if you want a quiet stay it's maybe not for you. I went with a friend and we loved every minute, so much so that we're going to make it a yearly visit. Our rooms were clean with very comfortable beds, the staff are, without exception, super friendly, as is the Manager. We can definitely recommend the breakfast as it's wonderful!"

"Last minute booking at the george lovely hotel with fab breakfast in a gorgeous village. We had the cheapest twin room but hadn’t realised the bathroom was accross the hall from the room when booking. It was okay as we were only their a night. Breakfast was good also would recommend just don’t book that room ."

"Hi Jamie is a lovely young lady that runs the pub. Very helpful. The property is an old pub. There’s homemade food but no breakfast. But up the hill is a great cafe called The Hive. Unfortunately due to the heat we had to have window wide open, the problem is that it’s a is a busy road and therefore you hear lots of traffic noise even late at night . The bedroom 2 has a blind on back wall that lets light in from hall way .( I personally would block ) The shared bathroom needs some work (...
