"The surrounding area looks economically depressed and we had some initial concerns about safety. Check in was easy. We were provided with two keys for the front door and room door. The house is well maintained and in keeping with original design. We stayed in the wine and roses room which is next door to the kitchen. If you like to sleep in, this is not the room for you due to breakfast noise. The breakfast was good and timely. There was a hot option (bread pudding and chicken and herb sausage)...

One bathroom had the fan on max speed all day and night, while our other rooms bathroom fan did not funtion. When we requested housekeeping, nothing was cleaned. There was dried poop on the inside of the toilet when we moved in. Staff apologized constantly but did nothing to improve housekeeping. 3 times I had to get my own fresh towels from the front desk because housekeeping did not clean...
