"Reception staff were very friendly and informative regarding the local area. However the room was unbearably hot. The heating was on full and could not be turned down which the night manager was aware of prior to our stay. He tried to turn it down with pliers but was unsuccessful so we had no sleep as an alternative room was unavailable. This was a huge disappointment as it was a birthday and anniversary weekend. An alternative room was found the next day. We were given a small refund of 15% which didn’t reflect our spoilt stay."

"Beach view. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Corridors and room very hot even with air con on. And post weddding reception super noisy. Cooked breakfast was good but the cold selection wasn’t great and the orange and apple juice was watery. "

"Amazing place the 'Eastwell Champneys Estate'. Fantastic accommodation. Room was beautiful and clean. Staff very helpful and friendly, specific James helped at the reception and Victoria at the Health Spa. Breakfast was great as it was a buffet. Nice supper and as well the bar meal with good prices. Great heated indoor and heated outdoor pool and heated outdoor with whirlpools. Will come soon again."

"The outside of the property looks tired. Staff at the Marco Pierre White, although sufficient in number, were not attentive enough. Maybe more training needed."

"Stayed 1 night at the hotel. Got to our room to find dirty socks and clothes by the bed. The staff need to check the rooms properly. Television channels work intermittently."

"The hotel was lovely, superbly located, meters from Westgate. The problem was we were promised a room that would not overlook the parking lot. We came back 2 times, at 12:00 and 2:30, but they said the room was still not ready, that we had to wait till 3 o’clock. We had tickets to punt down the river at 3 so could not stay, but immediately upon finishing it returned to the hotel. To our surprise they then took us to a room that overlooked the parking lot! We asked to be changed and they took us to a tiny room that overlooked a small patio, that was right beside the communal terrace, so quite noisy. It was not what we had hoped for. Having said that, the room and bathroom were pretty and clean, the breakfast was good and the location superb."
