We were greeted by Sandra, who was incredibly warm and welcoming, and she showed us to our room, which was spotless and a great size for two people. We were given our own keys, so we could come and go whenever we liked. The guest house had a lovely, homely feel and was peaceful throughout our stay, making it the perfect place to relax. The location is excellent too—just a 10–15 minute riverside walk into the city centre, making it ideal...

"Easy to find, clear instructions regarding keys, etc.. Not a huge amount of things nearby, apart from the nice beach. Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is, but in the summer the easier access to the beach must be a plus."

"The Lodge was so surprising. Being on the Cathedral grounds, it evokes a sense of tranquility and calm. That feeling does not extend past the walls of the ground. The breakfasts were amazing. The staff was most accommodating. Everything was within the radius of the Lodge and walking to places was easy. The only thing that disappointed was that the standard double room has a tiny bed which was caused a snug bed-share challenge. It worked out. We're glad we chose that accommodation."

"Little hidden gem! Absolutely stunning property. As soon as you walk through the door it’s like stepping back in time. Stunning decor with lots of character and interesting items to look at around the property. Host was warm and welcoming when I arrived. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again and have already started recommending to friends."
