"The bed was comfy and there was lots of hot water. The hotel badly needs a decorating refresh. The one redeeming factor was the staff, were very nice."

"Fabulous country house style stay - there is a sweeping driveway through mature gardens. The history of the house is fascinating - the monkey puzzle tree is a late addition at 1913. Staff are so kind and friendly and the food is all freshly cooked to order with generous portions. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely visit."

"What a beautiful place!! We stayed for two nights and was made to feel so welcome. We stayed in the room only "Eddie" and was perfect as we were out and about during the day.. Already planning of coming back for longer and staying in the other apartments."

"The whole 3 nights were so easy and chilled. Then a fantastic breakfast every morning cooked and served by Larry. Larry is such a welcoming host .nothing too much for him and a weakth of local knowledge. Cant wait to rerurn in the summer. We had a family room and was very spacious and clean all in pine to keep the charm of this rustic farm manor house . Definitely return !"

From the warm welcome on arrival, to the spotless and beautiful huge room through to the freshly baked bread, pancakes and bacon for breakfast that had us full right through to our evening meal, I literally couldn't fault a thing. "Booked a short stay and chose Crockgarve after reading the reviews. To be honest it seemed too good to be true but I am thrilled to be proven wrong. The location and room was stunning and exactly what we needed for our stay. What really made it special was Margo. Margo could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible from the welcome drink with her and her husband to the amazing breakfasts, you are made to feel so welcome and part of the family. Margo makes it seem effortless but...

"Minnies cottage is in the middle of very beautiful farmland, it's close to Killeavy Castle, walking distance to a nice little pub called Johnny Murphy's and a small grocery store. The hosts and the property is warm and inviting. There were 4 of us and there was lots of room, 3 couches. The owners take pride in their property, it's very well built, beautiful and clean. Highly recommend this property if you just want a couple of days in the country or are attending a wedding at the castle."
