A really lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable, and the staff were so kind from the moment we checked in! We stayed two nights, and apart from a plumbing glitch that caused the water to need to be turned off, all was lovely. The breakfast is incredible - definitely recommend!

We found the Belmont House Hotel easily, and the staff were very welcoming when we arrived. The hotel itself is lovely, with tasteful décor, and our room was comfortable. Unfortunately, our stay was quite affected by the noise that evening. The bar was closed for a private event, and there was loud music and quite a bit of rowdiness both outside and around the main lobby area. As a result, it was very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. When planning our trip, I had specifically avoided booking accommodation over pubs because our days were going to be long and busy, and we really wanted somewhere we could come back to and have a restful night. I’m also a light sleeper, so the noise was particularly difficult for me. I understand that the Belmont is a wedding and events venue, and there is certainly nothing wrong with hosting private functions. However, given that the hotel is advertised as a boutique four-star hotel, with the accommodation described as luxurious and a place to “relax and unwind,” I feel guests should be made aware when booking if a private event is taking place that could result in significant noise. A simple notification at the time of booking would make a big difference, as guests could then decide whether the hotel is suitable for their needs that particular night. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff were welcoming and the room was comfortable, but unfortunately the noise had a big impact on our overall experience and our ability to get a restful

We had a wonderful stay at The Belmont House Hotel recently. We received a very warm welcome from the lovely receptionist which makes all the difference when you have travelled a distance in such bad weather. Our room was magnificent, above average in size and tastefully decorated. We overlooked the gardens to the front and side and yet it was very quiet. It was spotlessly clean. The en-suite was both modern & spacious. Despite the size, the room was very cosy & warm, we felt very comfortable in the large bed and slept well. We thoroughly enjoyed our Breakfast, again the staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was delicious & prepared with care. We can not recommend this Hotel highly enough! What a gem, nestled in the wonderful town of Banbridge! Great Shops & very friendly community. Put it on your list for a visit you won’t regret it! Fabulous country house style stay - there is a sweeping driveway through mature gardens. The history of the house is fascinating - the monkey puzzle tree is a late addition at 1913. Staff are so kind and friendly and the food is all freshly cooked to order with generous portions. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely visit.
