"Located near market… and shuttle stop which was convenient. Stayed in a motel room, simple and clean. Coffee in room. Issues with heater but they responded quickly to fix. Very friendly staff. Lodge restaurant had very good food- unexpected after seeing other reviews. Would not hesitate to stay again if you have own car. We never walked to rim - too far…use shuttles! Can drive to the visitor center and park for sunrise and sunset cause the shuttle is not as frequent and started after sunrise!"

"I was traveling with my 90 year old mom who is not very mobile. The receptionist arranged a room close to the lobby despite being booked. She was understanding and very helpful. It made her stay very convenient. At first we were disappointed with the location of the hotel being far from the village. After encountering the traffic and chaos, we were grateful to be 3 miles away from the hustle and bustle. I used the fitness room everyday and was very happy. I wish the coffee spot opened before 6 for those leaving for a sunrise hike. The 3rd floor balcony was perfect for outdoor seating and watching the sunrise. Overall, the hotel was great."
