The politeness of all staff was without a doubt only something I've experienced within hotels at The Langham in Sydney and Melbourne. No wonder they are so well regarded. It was my son's 8th birthday on the day we arrived and they set up balloons, treats and a hand written note from one of the managers. "

"Loved YHA Sydney! My husband and our 2 kids (ages 13 and 10) had a wonderful stay. The common area with tables and booths was so awesome. Great natural light pours in. Breakfast was great. Love the community feel of this place. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Great location in The Rocks! I hope I get to return to Sydney. I would absolutely stay at YHA again. "

"Enjoyable stay"

"Staff were very professional and friendly, lovely clean room that was modern and inviting, great area in level 22 for nightly drinks and food if wanted, and excellent breakfast and coffee on level 22. Didn’t use pool but looked nice. Overall very good stay and would book again. Had no issues with noise as some others have stated but we were on level 20. Stayed on 19th Jan 2026."
