Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Gran Canaria Mogan
10/10 Excellent
"This was a great property! The staff is really friendly and really helped us out. Especially after I had left some valuable stuff in the room when we were rushing out trying to catch our flight. I called when we got back to Madrid and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in locating our missing items and coordinating their return to us. Would definitely recommend staying at this resort. It is really centrally located in Mogan."
"Great location, pool area nice, but very hard to get sun loungers.
Not enough beds.
Rooms tired and dated, TV was older than me.
Cockroaches in my bath."
"My general impression is that the room felt too cheap for how expensive it was. I had multiple issues which, to their credit, the staff responded to with concern. It’s the little things as they say: there was no hand soap in my room, and when I asked for it, they just said they had run out. It wasn’t until I got a bit upset that they sent me some body gel to compensate.
There were also issues with the toilet (constantly running water), which led to it needing to be replaced; this took a couple of days. And the AC is locked at 18 Celsius, which means it isn’t really cooling down enough. When we mentioned this they sounded surprised, which is not believable considering that it happens in several rooms.
This hotel is good for the adult things and the proximity to Yumbo, but one can do better for the price, without a doubt."
"Staff were consistently rude and unapproachable to both myself and my wife, which completely took away from what was meant to be our honeymoon. At times, we were simply ignored, which is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone a resort of this standard.
When we tried to book the spa, the staff there told us it was fully booked in a dismissive and borderline hostile manner. It didn’t feel right, so we checked with main reception, who confirmed there were actually spaces available. This means we were either misinformed or outright lied to. When we returned later that day, the spa staff looked shocked to see us, like they didn’t expect us to come back.
Breakfast was no better. As it was our first time, we asked a few basic questions about seating and food options and were met with the same attitude, short, dismissive responses, or being ignored altogether. Staff were rude, avoidant, and at times spoke to us in a raised or abrupt tone.
The hotel itself is clean and the facilities are genuinely very good, which makes the service even more disappointing. Aside from the cleaning staff, who were great, most of the team we encountered were unprofessional and clearly uninterested in helping guests.
Overall, I would not recommend staying here. This wasn’t an isolated experience, other guests we spoke to had similar issues. It’s a real shame, because the facilities are excellent, but the service lets the entire place down."
"Pool and garden areas are great and alway kept clean and tidy. Staff friendly. Rooms good. Breakfast is comprehensive and starts at 7 which is good if you’re going out for the day. Only negatives are - tvs are not smart no Netflix or Amazon YouTube etc… some machinery noise humming in room maybe affect you if a light sleeper. "
"I had never heard of this brand/group before but decided to stay with them as they had so many properties on Gran Canaria. The hotel was fantastic, like staying in a small town rather than just one building. The staff were some of the best I’ve come across and the breakfast buffet was top notch. I’ll definitely stay with this group again in the future. The area is 10 mins taxi from playa del ingles and there is a bus stop nearby that connects you to the airport."
"Fantastic value for money - The perfect location (not busy) and right by the beach. Please note you have to walk the beach via rocks or steep steps - so not suitable for kids or the elderly.
Brilliant staff who really looked after us and gave my boyfriend a bottle for his birthday."
