The hotel is very nice in a great walking location with great daily breakfast, dinner was delicious as well. The room was spotless and the staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. Can’t wait until my return, this is my second trip staying here.

The Luna Arcos hotel is perfectly located near the centre of the village, which you reach via one of the delightful pedestrian bridges across the river. The hotel has plenty of parking and the check in was welcoming and very efficient. Our double room was spacious, nicely furnished and very comfortable. It also had a small balcony with table and chairs, which was nice. Breakfast takes the form of a buffet with a good selection of fresh fruits, cereals etc. There’s also hot food and whereas I enjoyed the bacon, sausage tomato etc, I have to say that the eggs were a bit hit and miss. For some reason on the first two mornings the egg dishes were not refreshed and were pretty awful. On our final morning however we had freshly cooked fried eggs and nicely cooked scrambled eggs - so all is forgiven. In short, this is an excellent hotel, in every way, and represents excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

Not as pleasant as other hotels in Portugal

The hotel was fine but definitely not a four star. The room was big they did give me an upgrade which was wonderful but there was an order in the room that came from the vents. The front desk staff was excellent but the breakfast staff were so unfriendly! The coffe machine broke and it took them 4 days to fix it. The same food was put out for the entire week no variety and staff was slack in replacing empty portions. The orange juice dispenser broke as well but at least they fixed it within 24 hrs. Out of all the hotels we stayed at and this one was for 7 nights I found that the staff here were a bit snooty and were not as hospitable as the other hotel staff. Very disappointed bc the hotel is in a great location and equipped with spa, bar (which most times didn’t have anyone there to serve) and no coffee in the rooms which I thought was completely odd since Europeans drink mainly coffee. I had to pay to get a cup of coffee. Insane!
