"Room was spacious and fairly comfortable. Overall, it was fairly quiet and a good stay. The biggest drawback was our toilet tank apparently had a slow leak so whenever it would get low enough to "refill" it would be a high-pitched squeal. This was also after every time the toilet was used. So it woke us up several times during the night. It was better the second night when we slept with the door shut."

"Wry comfortable room, overall very clean hotel, and a great location. Pool was small, but served its purpose. Breakfast had limited options, but again, served its purpose. Would highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Cave City."
The Lodge at Mammoth Cave

"Being part of the park was good. We enjoyed the paved walking trails and the hiking trails for more experienced people. Also liked that there were some trails designated for wheelchairs. The only draw back was the amount of construction happening during our trip. Advanced notice of it would have been appreciated, as some of the trails and roads were closed. The construction of new cabins will be a good addition as lodging sells out quickly, but the negative with those is that they look more modern and gives the appearance that the lodge rooms and historic cottages look overly run down. We stayed in one of the lodge rooms which was sufficient for us, we had a very hard time getting used to the mattresses in the room, they were very uncomfortable. Loved being off the grid for most of our trip."

"This place was excellent for the price. It has smaller rooms, less on the BKFST menu, but a fair price for the services rendered. the room was clean, the desk responsive to questions and needs. We stayed in BGKY on a very busy weekend, so chose a place at the north end of town, and were very pleased. Quiet, with easy access yto interstate and town. Next year I will come here again for this busy weekend."

"Stayed one night in a king suite with a jacuzzi and it was awesome!! Staff was polite at check in and anytime we crossed paths. Hotel is gorgeous inside, the lobby furniture is nice , brand new wall paper and beautiful lighting fixtures and upscale wall paper through hallways and staircase. The hotel and rooms are so clean and very pleasant smelling throughout. Will definitely stay again."

"My only complaint was the lack of early morning coffee! The Inn was old and quaint, but could have had a little more attention to detail with the cleanliness. It’s hard to keep a room full of antiques dust-free. But we expected a historic place to be a little rough around the edges. It wasn’t a big issue. I enjoyed walking around the property and relaxing on the porch. Great location for Mammoth National Park. Owners were kind and beds were cozy."

"Communication was proactive and showed a genuine concern for our comfort during our stay. There was an error in double booking on the property’s end and they made extra accommodations for us and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The owner is a very kind person and reached out on a few occasions to ensure we had everything we needed. The cabin was beautiful, well maintained, and clean, and had great amenities for cooking. We enjoyed the brand new grill outside and also used the fire pit and enjoyed the local hiking trail. It is close to Mammoth Cave and we really enjoyed spending half the day at the park then relaxing at the cabin for the rest of the day. Highly recommend!!! (Side note - we are now at our next cabin destination of our road trip and we are missing the comfort and amenities at Maple Retreat!)"
