No frigo is no good for 2 persons room

This was my second time to stay Ibis budget hotel on business trip to Angoulem. Good overall this time again. I booked and paid for one room with two persons. Problem I had this time is NO Refrigrator in the room.

I am writing this review on behalf of my daughter. We originally booked it for one night only, but due to changing family circumstances she had to add another night. She doesn't speak French, so she was very impressed with the staff ability to communicate with her and help her with all her needs. Customer service is what made this property to stand out. Thank you so much.

L'atout de cet hôtel est avant tout l'équipe souriante et disponible. Hôtel propre, chambres faites tous les jours, serviettes changées à cette occasion. L'autre atout est son emplacement : idéalement placé entre la gare, un cinéma, un centre commercial et des restaurants. Après, c'est un Ibis budget : le confort est primaire mais correct ; à la hauteur du prix que nous payons (pas de seche cheveux, un oreiller qui ne fait pas la largeur du lit, sommier étroit et dur). Le seul vrai souci est le bruit de ventilation (le chauffage) dans la cour extérieure sur laquelle donnait notre chambre.

Hôtel typique de la gamme, bon rapport qualité/prix, nombre de prises de courant généreux, fraîcheur sans clim... mais très mal insonorisé. Des bribes de conversation, animée mais pas excessive, d'une chambre voisine m'ont empêché de dormir une bonne partie de la nuit.

Accueil très contrasté selon le personnel

La première personne à l'accueil (tatouée, percée) à mon arrivée a été particulièrement désagréable. Après m'avoir ouvert, elle m'a ignoré pendant une bonne minute sans un mot (une minute et je suis a vous...) avant d'être contrainte de me demander ce que je voulais. Remise de la clef sans un mot ni un sourire. Dans la chambre, la télé hurle une fois allumée. Télécommande manifestement en panne. Je redescends lui en faire part. Réponse "que voulez-vous que j'y fasse, je ne répare pas les télécommandes"! Ma réponse :"moi non plus, mais vous pouvez la changer". Elle monte "vérifier " le fonctionnement, reçoit un appel et part sans un mot. Je sors acheter une bière. A mon retour, avec culot: "vous auriez pu me dire que vous sortiez" et me tend une autre télécommande. Dieu merci, changement de décor le lendemain avec une jeune femme extrêmement aimable pour le checkout, qui m'a proposé de garder ma valise, etc. De quoi vous reconcilier avec l'hôtellerie. Merci Madame.

L'hôtel IBIS budget : service tjs impeccable, en revanche les salles de bain auraient besoin d'un raffraîchissement (présence de moisissures...), le petit dejeuner à 17€ est hors de prix, il faut demander un séche cheveux à l'accueil, pas pratique. manque de l'espace bureau pour être confort et manque de la lumière au dessus espace bureau, les deux petits oreillers sont bien pour dormir mais pas pour lire assis dans lit, les lumières de chevet sont éblouissantes, l'accès à la chambre en étant chargée n'est pas pratique

Bonjour j'ai rencontré un grand souci dans cet hôtel. J'ai réservé de nuit mais je n'ai passé aucune nuit là-bas. Donc j'ai demandé le remboursement des deux nuits j'ai réservé dans un autre hôtel Le problème que j'ai rencontré c'est que je suis sorti de ma chambre pour aller fumer une cigarette à l'extérieur et en remontant dans la chambre j'ai croisé la femme de l'accueil qui sortait de ma chambre en mon absence. Donc je fais mes affaires et je suis parti réservé dans un autre hôtel à côté qui s'appelle Appart'City Angoulême.

Pour votre information, la chambre sentait le tabac froid, et logé au premier étage, le bruit de la rue était gênant. Cependant nous avons reçu un super accueil à notre arrivée et une personne chaleureuse.
