"I like smaller hotels like this Riu. I loved the beach, very calm and beautiful water. Staff is very friendly and took good care of us, specially Catalina in Don Roberto and Romero restaurant. It’s very walkable. I did not like guests smoking or using loud speaking the beach but I don’t know if hotel staff can do anything about this. It’s inconsiderate to others around you. The hotel is older and may need some renovations. I would stay here again "

"The 4-star rating for staff and service (instead of 5) is due only to the poor check-in experience. We had booked two king-bed rooms, but were given one king and one double-bed room on different floors. The staff suggested we could have two nearby ocean-view rooms if we paid an additional $600 USD, which was disappointing—especially since it was the off-season and there were plenty of empty rooms on each floor.
