Simple but clean and good value

Nice place, helpful staff, very clean and well-kept rooms. Room was very simple/basic but clean and excellent price. The location is far from downtown but very good if you want to visit the Dahiye, and is also very close to Badaro. Place is easy to find as it is close to the highway and "Alaamira Furnished Apartments" is written in big letters on the side of the building. The only downside was the room is a lot smaller than the pictures/details show when booking, and the details online say there is a cooking facility when actually there was only one portable gas hob that was not connected to any gas supply so I couldn't use it. Also the shower is cold water - to be fair there is what looks like a hot water tank in the bathroom but I couldn't figure out how to work it. I did not complain as it was summer and it was nice to have a cold shower, but in winter might be an issue. But for such a low price it is still very good value for money in my opinion. If you're happy with just having the basics (toilet, cold shower, clean and soft bed) I would definitely recommend. There is also a TV and a fridge but electricity is not 24 hours (usually goes off during the night).

I have been an Expedia customer for over 20 years and rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. Upon entering the apartment, I immediately noticed a strong unpleasant odor. The room appeared dirty, with visible stains and poor hygiene throughout the living area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The apartment did not seem to have been properly cleaned before my arrival. The most concerning issue was the bedding. The pillows, sheets, and blankets appeared used and had an unpleasant smell, giving the impression they had not been properly washed or changed for new guests. I raised my concerns and was shown a second room, but it was in a similar condition. After seeing two rooms with the same cleanliness issues, I did not feel comfortable or safe staying there. As a result, I had no choice but to leave and book alternative accommodation at my own expense. This caused unnecessary inconvenience, stress, and additional costs. In my opinion, this property does not meet the basic standards expected of a furnished apartment listed on Expedia. I would not recommend this property and hope Expedia reviews its suitability for future guests. Would not stay here again.
